Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) WILKINSON COTTON On the morning of April 2, 2014 the family, friends and community of Robert (Bob) Wilkinson Cotton were devastated by his tragic loss. Memorial services were held in the Holland Community Hall, Wednesday, April 9, 2014, Sandra Rex officiating. Bob was born June 23, 1940 in Brandon, Manitoba, the eldest of three children born to Lloyd and Annie Cotton. Graduating high school in Brandon, he began work for Laird Sprague, now Meyers Norris Penny LLP. Bob devoted his career to retail co-operatives eventually becoming Finance and Control Manager for Federated Co-op (Alberta). The co-operative philosophy motivated Bob to work hard for each community he lived in, holding himself to a standard which made him inherently valuable to the Co-operative and people around him. In his retirement Bob continued to serve the needs of others with that same philosophy. He assisted numerous businesses and community groups. His wealth of experience coupled with his patient gentle demeanor endeared him to those he worked with. Bob was a navigator, servant and helper. A thread weaving through our lives, he drew us to him and gave us strength. Left to cherish his memory are Bob's wife Beth Flemington, his stepchildren Geoff, Brendan and Shannon Westbury (Derek Jackson), his children, Lee-Ann Cotton (Ben Rosentreter), Robyn (Rich) Kuczera, Bob Cotton (Richelle), his grandchildren Kelsey, Delaney, Curtis, and Steven, and stepgrandchildren Nicholas, Dylen and Maddox, his sister Barbara (Bob Knight) and their children Brian Knight (Sherry), Valerie Carson (JC). He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob was predeceased by his mother Annie (Swinton) Cotton, father Lloyd Cotton, and his brother David Cotton. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Holland & Area Community Foundation, Box 87 Holland, MB R0G 0X0, or to a charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.willmorchapel.com. Jamieson's Funeral Services of Holland, MB were in care of arrangements. The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power To tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour. Now is the only time we own, live...love...and toil with a will... *Do not wait until tomorrow, *for the hands may then be still.
