ISOBEL PUSEY March 6, 1913 April 22, 2014 Peacefully on Tuesday April 22, 2014 Isobel passed away after a full and happy life. She leaves behind her children Robert (Carol) Pusey and Heather (Ross) Fulford; grandchildren Lisa (Gerry), Mark (Kendra), Keith (Amy) and Allyson; great-grandchildren Ryan, Reid, Drew, Isobel and Maya and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Miami, MB one of six children. Soon after the family moved to Cartwright. As a young woman she came to Winnipeg to work and met her husband Horace and was married for 39 years. Mom raised her family in the Riverview area. She became a member of the Community Centre, Church and Municipal Hospital Guilds, making new friends and enjoying coffee parties. After dad passed away she worked at the St. Vital Curling Club and the Windsor Park Golf Course. When she could no longer look after her home and garden she moved to the Delta Manor Apartments in the 1990s where her friends called her Izzy. Later on she moved to the Poseidon Care Home. Family and friends always came first before everything else. Mom enjoyed dancing, cards, theatre, bowling and parties and especially her dogs and cats. Mom what a life you had and thanks for being such a big part of our lives, we will miss you. Special thanks to the Poseidon for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A celebration of Isobel's life will be on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Isobel was an awesome lady .... I last had lunch with her in Winnipeg when she was 96 and she was going flat out, nothing was stopping her .... typical to her normal style. I remember her years ago in the hockey arenas cheering Rob and his team along. Exuberant she was!!! It was like nothing had changed ... she lived life every day. Rob and Heather you had one great Mom!!! She will be missed. - Posted by: Colleen Watson (Friend of Rob's) on: Apr 27, 2014

While I only knew Isobel for the last few years she was always a joy to be around; full of wit coupled with that mischievous twinkle in her eye. She welcomed me into her family and made the times we spent together, though few, always memorable. What a life....What a person! - Posted by: Gerry Bachynski (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2014

My parents, Gladys and Harry Hickling were good friends of Isobel and Horace. Isobel and Horace were fun loving and happy people. They were also a welcoming and caring couple who were magnificent role models. Although we are grieved at Isobel's passing, we celebrate her long and positive life. - Posted by: Richard and Mary Hickling (Family friends) on: Apr 26, 2014
