Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDELTRAUT (TRUDY) GIESBRECHT June 18, 1928- April 17, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trudy at the Gimli Hospital at the age of 85. Left to cherish Trudy's memories are her daughters Irene (Bill), Ludwika; her grandchildren, Trina (Justin), Krista, Deon (Loreen), Joshua, Paula (Aundrey); and great- grandchildren Braydon, Jasmine, and Mia. Trudy is predeceased by her mother, father and siblings in Germany, her husband's Steve Zurylo and Victor Giesbrecht as well as her youngest daughter Krystyne. They were deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Mom each and every day. Trudy was born in Poland and married her sweetheart in December of 1953. They immigrated to Winnipeg with their three daughters in 1959. They worked very hard to make a better life for all. Mom worked various jobs over the years, her last job was at Palliser Furniture where she retired at the age of 65. Trudy loved her home and took great pride in in her yard. She so loved her flower beds as did passer byes who continuously commented on her beautiful yard. She loved to spend time knitting and crocheting amazing afghans, scarves, slippers, and beautiful outfits for her doll collection. Mom was a pillar of strength and truly an amazing woman. She showed her strength and determination over the many years of family loss and medical issues. She did as much as she could for as long as she could and was a devoted wife and mother. Her generosity, joy, love and kindness will forever be remembered. She leaves a lifetime of memories for her family. We can never repay her for all the ways mom blessed are lives. We are rich because of how much she invested in us. Her daily examples and the sacrifices she made through the years for our benefit, never once thinking of herself. The richness is not measured in dollar signs but in the happiness and bond that we shared. This is a part of her legacy to all of us. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. We would like to thank Dr. Patel and all the medical staff at the Gimli Hospital for their wonderful care and support they provided. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. (viewing at 1:30 p.m.) at Klassen Funeral Home. I met Mom through her daughter Irene. Right from the moment I met her this beautiful woman made me feel I was part of her family. Trudy loved to show her crochet work and family pictures and talk about her family and life. Thank you for being part of my life. - Posted by: Sandra Scott (Friend) on: May 02, 2014
