Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERTHA O'NEIL (nee LAVOIE) On Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Portage District General Hospital, Bernadette Yvonne Marie "Bertha" O'Neil, of Portage la Prairie, beloved wife of Martin O'Neil, passed away at the age of 87 years. Prayers will be held in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 1125 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB on Thursday, evening, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Portage la Prairie, MB on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Father Eric Giddins celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Bertha was predeceased by her parents Ulderic and Blanche Lavoie; siblings Roland, Marie, Lourdes, Irene, Amanda, Alma, Alfred, Alphonse, Armand, Maurice, and Ernest. She is survived by her beloved husband Martin; three children Gerald (Adriana) O'Neil, Jeanette (Sean) McSorley and Karen O'Neil all of Winnipeg, and brother Georges (Rita) Lavoie of Starbuck, MB. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 or to the Central Plains CancerCare Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0K8.
