Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHRYN MARY BIBE (MCGUIRE) July 29, 1958 May 1, 2014 After a courageous two year battle with cancer and with her family at her side, Kathy passed away peacefully at home. Despite her diagnosis she remained caring and concerned for those she would too soon have to leave. She will forever be remembered and sadly missed by her husband Bruce, daughter Alison, parents Ann and Bill, sister Pat (Brian), nephews Blair (Liann), great-niece Julia, Adrian (Sharon) great-niece Zoey, sister Dawn (Kathy), sister Sandy (Stan) along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kathy was predeceased by her brother Robert in 1984. Kathy was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia. She spent her early years in Stonewall and Stony Mountain. After graduation Kathy moved to and worked in Winnipeg. In 2004 she met Bruce, and they were married in the summer of 2007. The family would like to thank Dr. Lorne Brandes, Manitoba CancerCare and the Palliative Care team for their care and compassion with a special thanks to Jennifer. A service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
