Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN LANDRY May 12, 1924 - May 3, 2014 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Landry (nee St. Jacques) at Foyer Valade, Saturday morning. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Lillian leaves to mourn her sons Ron (Barbara), Mark and Rick (Karen); grandchildren Greg (Lisa), Erin, Maury and Kaile (Mike) Cantwell; great-grandchildren Evan, Abigail, Nathan and Theodore; brothers Claude and Eli St. Jacques and sister Anita Gruener. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Maurice, son Gilbert and sister Lucille Hoque. Lillian grew up in Aubigny. After she married Maurice they lived on a farm south of St. Elizabeth and subsequently moved to Morris where the family resided for over 40 years. In 2000 Lillian and Maurice moved to St. Boniface. As well as being a wife, mother and homemaker, Lillian taught elementary school for many years. After retirement she was very involved in community service work. Lillian will be remembered as a happy, positive person who always saw the best in everyone and everything. She loved life and her wonderful outlook affected all who knew her. We would like to thank the staff at Foyer Valade for the wonderful care they gave Lillian during her stay with them. The family will always remember the kindness, compassion and "joie de vivre" they showed Lillian. The service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Lillian's memory to the Heart and Stroke or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundations.
