LUCILLE KLANN With great sadness and after a lengthy battle with breast cancer mom passed away on Monday May 5, 2014 with her daughters at her side. Being known for her planning, mom had helped us by writing her own obituary unknown to us and is as follows. Mom was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2001, her parents Orille and Lauda Rheault, sister Alva, brothers Roland, Paul, Henri, Donat and George. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Susan and Gay, grandchildren Bobbie-Jo, Mylynda (Will), Hailey and Austin, great-grandchildren Jordan, Maverick, Alexandria and Elliott, sisters-in-law Pat Rheault and Helen Klann, and nieces and nephews. Mom grew up during the great depression in St. Boniface and attended St. Joseph's Academy. During the war she worked at MacDonald Aircraft building planes. Mom loved to do petit-point, crocheting and sewing. Her fingers were always doing something. She and dad loved to dance and enjoyed every week at dances. She also enjoyed roller skating at the Winnipeg Roller Rink, skiing at La Riviere and summers spent at Grand Beach. Mom and dad travelled so much during their life together. Every summer they travelled somewhere. When she retired from Kildonan East Collegiate they travelled with their motor home all through Arizona, Texas and Florida. Every winter after they retired was spent in Florida. They also went to Hawaii, Jamaica, Barbados, Las Vegas and on many cruises to Haiti and St. Thomas. Mom and dad made an awful lot of friends on their holidays especially their friends in Mississippi. She also loved her flowers and they always bloomed for her. Mom worked at many jobs and had taken a course at Red River College in photography so she could work at BW Type and Bulman Bros. for many years. A private family burial will take place. Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St., Winnipeg, MB. We would like to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the staff at Concordia Oncology for their wonderful care of mom over the years. Also Nurse Anne from Palliative Care and the wonderful staff and nurses at the Grace Hospice for the compassion they showed to mom during her brief stay with them. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. We love you mom and will miss your hugs and love. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220
