GWENDOLINE BETH SMART-GEORGE (nee EDWARDS) Peacefully after a brief illness; it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Gwen Smart-George at Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish Gwen's memory are her four children, Bill (Gayle), Frank, Kevin (Laurie) and Lisa (Dave); four grandchildren, Paul (Amber), Trevor, Michael (Tessa), Delaine (Francis) and two great-grandchildren, Stella and Finn. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas George in 1991. Gwen worked in the Bindery of Public Press for many years and was a life time member of the Rebekah Assembly of Manitoba. She had a lifelong love of animals and had pets of every sort. As well she enjoyed gardening, time at the cottage, and was an avid reader. In compliance with Gwen's wishes there will not be a formal Service. A special thank you to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital and the Maples Personal Care Home. My deepest condolences to Bill, Frank, Kevin, Lisa and family. Gwen was like a 2nd mom to me growing up.
