CLARENCE RAYMOND SPENCE May 1, 1930 May 7, 2014 On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Portage General Hospital, Dad's loving heart stopped beating and his hard working hands finally rested. Dad passed away at the age of 84 years and 6 days to be with his beloved family that passed before him, his loving wife Lena, his mom Flora and dad Andrew, his two daughters Anita and Kathleen, his sister Doris Starr, and his great-grandchildren baby Anthony Joseph, baby Anitra, and baby Jakey. He leaves his loving memories to 14 children, 44 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. We would like to thank all the people who came to visit our dad and warmed our hearts with their presence. Thank you to Sandy Bay Home Care, especially Sylvia and Marjorie and our gratitude to all the nurses, palliative care unit, home care unit, social services worker and Doctor Hunter who supported our family and took care of our dad. The wake will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 (today) at 4:00 pm at the Sandy Bay Community Complex in Sandy Bay First Nation. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Cabral officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery.
