Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL MARGARET TAYLOR It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel Margaret Taylor (nee Beedle) at the Golden West Centennial Lodge on May 7, 2014, at the age of 90 years. Ethel was born October 5, 1923 in London, Ontario. Ethel was the youngest of seven children, having four older brothers and two older sisters to always watch over her. In 1941 Ethel met a young R.C.A.F. private, David Taylor - it was love at first sight. In 1942 Ethel and Dave were married in London and soon after were transferred by the Air Force to postings in eastern and western Canada. After the war the couple moved to the family farm in Headingley where they settled in to raise a family. Ethel and Dave lived in Headingley the majority of their married life, raised three children and were happily married for over 72 years. Ethel was predeceased by her parents John and Frances Beedle, her sisters Evelyn and Myrtle, and her brothers Harold, William, George and Wilfred. Ethel is survived by her husband David, her children Robert, Sandra and Larry and their families including nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. As well, Ethel leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other close relatives and many dear friends. We will all miss Ethel greatly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church located at 5335 Portage Avenue in Headingley. Following the service the family will greet friends and relatives in the church reception hall until 2:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for their sincere care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Golden West Centennial Lodge.
