Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN MICHAEL RYAN Our dear husband, father, and Papa passed away at Deer Lodge Centre on May 11, 2014. He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy, daughter Lori, and grandchildren Greg and Alanna Head. John was born March 21, 1923, and was predeceased by his parents Michael and Anna. John worked for CN and VIA Rail as a brakeman/conductor for 42 years. John loved to dance, watch sports, play cards and spend time with family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff, especially Norine, at Deer Lodge Centre T6, and express heartfelt gratitude to Rolando for his compassion and caring. A private family interment will be held. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter or a charity of your choice. "Sad are the hearts that loved you. Sad are the tears that fall. But living our lives without you, is the saddest part of all." Glen Eden in care of arrangements 338-7111.

John and my father were friends. My family did not have a vehicle therefore John drove me to the church on my wedding day. He was a very kind man and a gentleman. On the few occassions I saw John (mostly in the Mall)after speaking with him I always went away thinking "What a nice man".
