Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELENE SCHLAG (nee MAYNARD) Suddenly on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 Helene Schlag peacefully passed away in her home. Helene was predeceased by her mother Irène Maynard, and her two brothers Lucien and Léo. Helene will be lovingly remembered by her son Dale, and grandson Elmer; by her sisters, Gisèle, Madeleine (Henri Hamonic), Pierrette (Gaetan Gosselin), and sister-in-law Pierrette Meunier Maynard. Helene lived a wonderful life and truly cared for all that were close to her. Her smile was always sure to light up the room. Her most joyous and happiest moments were spent with her son Dale and especially her grandson Elmer. Elmer was truly the light of her life, spending time with him in the pool at her apartment block, and splashing around with him at The Forks Splash-pad. She will be sadly missed. Helene was more than a great friend. She was like family to me. We shared a lot of good times together, especially in Detroit Lakes, and just getting together for lunch. She will be greatly missed. I love you Helene. Carol - Posted by: Carol Schapansky (Friend) on: May 17, 2014
