HEATHER FERN HAMILTON Peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2014 Heather Hamilton passed away at Meadowood Manor at the age of 77. Heather was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Frieda Lawrie and her husband Kenneth. She leaves to mourn her cousin Karen (Nelson Nickel), Cindy (Dale Morley) Christine Morley and Trevor Nickel Heather was born in Winnipeg and spent her younger years with her parents on Arlington St. She attended Daniel McIntyre High School and Success Business College. After graduation she worked in retail and then moved into the general insurance industry. She enjoyed her insurance career and the people she worked with over the years. Heather was a person who liked helping others. She volunteered at the Deer Lodge Centre, did a lot of knitting for The Christmas Cheer Board and was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter B, Manitoba. She had a love for all animals especially her little dog Suzie. She liked the outdoors and the summer months. She and her husband Ken enjoyed many happy lazy days at their trailer in Gimli, Manitoba. The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff at Meadowood Manor for the kindness and compassion extended to Heather during her stay and in her final hours. In keeping with Heathers wish, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow.
