Since I learned of your passing I've thought of the memories at Winnipeg Beach of you, grandpa, and my dad doing the "root beer dance" around the fire; card nights; family parties at your house and you teaching me how to swear in Ukrainian ;). You were a great and loving man, and I will celebrate your new journey. Take care Uncle :) - Posted by: Marla Lamoureux (Niece ) on: May 21, 2014

I was fortunate enough to have had Mr. Sabeski as my grade 12 History Teacher. He taught the course with wit and deep understanding. He encouraged me to take part in the Model United Nations high school conference. As a result, I took an interest in history and political science, and studied for my Bachelors and Masters at Carleton, U of Manitoba, Université de Saint-Boniface and the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. It all began in Mr. Sabeski's classroom… and I have made my career teaching in a similar classroom not so far away, at École secondaire Kelvin. His teaching was inspirational. My condolences to your family on his passing; know that he lives on in the teachings he has passed on. - Posted by: Raymond Sokalski (student) on: May 20, 2014
