ROSE HENDRICHS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Hendrichs on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Middlechurch Nursing Home at the age of 75 years. Rose will be sadly missed by her daughters Monica (Richard) Sherrin and Ramona (Mark) Pfiefer; and her grandchildren Kate, Ethan and Evan; and brother Josef (Ilse) Rosenecker. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Hendrichs, son Ron Hendrichs and parents Josef and Leopoldine Rosenekker. Mom moved to Canada from Austria in her 20s where she met and married our Dad and went on to have three children. When we were little Mom delighted in baking for us and taking us camping. When they retired Mom and Dad spent each day in the warm months hiking in Birds Hill Park and enjoyed nature. Her greatest love was family and sadly in 1994 she lost her only son after a lengthy battle with cancer. Later a great joy in her life would be her three grandchildren whom she loved dearly. They kept her young and she was at her happiest when she was with them. Over the last seven years we saw Mom battling Parkinson's disease, which robbed us of our close relationship with her when it affected her memory. A great loss was not being able to sit and have easy conversations with her and share laughs and good times. We love and miss you Mom, but are comforted by the thought that you are at peace now with Dad, Ron and Foofi. Special thanks to the nurses and health care aides at the Middlechurch Home that took care of Mom in her last years. A private family service will take place with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Send expressions of sympathy at www.klassenfuneralhome.com

So sorry to hear of Rose's passing. I would always see Rose in Penners groceries (now Sobeys) and we would stop for a chat. Rose made the best Rum balls. Your Mom was a lovely lady. RIP Rose - Posted by: Diane (Janice's sister) (Friend) on: Jun 05, 2014

A mother is the person we cherish the most in life and when that person is taken away from us, the only way we can move forward is with the memories they have left with us, to keep sharing. Sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Lou and Diane Felicioni (in-law to Ramona and Mark) on: May 27, 2014
