DOROTHY VENIER (FOREMAN MILLER) February 4, 1916 - May 18, 2014 On Sunday, May 18, 2014, our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma passed away at Vista Park Lodge with her daughters by her side. Mom was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Howe and brother Leo Foreman. Dorothy was born in Star City, Saskatchewan to Eva and Milton Foreman. She spent many years in mining towns across Canada with her husband Gil. Following his death in 1957, she moved with her daughters to Winnipeg, where she was employed in the office of MacLeods for 23 years. After retirement, Dorothy bought a home in Beausejour, where she enjoyed bowling, golfing, skiing and walking the dogs with close friends Wilda and Phyllis. Dorothy is forever remembered by her daughters: Fay (Doug) and Gail (Fred); grandchildren: Kim, Kerri and Cam Chase, and Gil Restiaux (Brenda); great-grandchildren Reis, Alex and Maclane; sister Fay (Foreman) Riley and Don Chase, who called her "Mama Dorothy." The family would like to thank the staff of Vista Park Lodge for the compassionate care of our Mom. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3, of which she was an avid supporter. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
