Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER (ALEX) KASPRICK After a lengthy battle with cancer it is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our brother May 23, 2014 at Misericordia Hospital Interim Care at the age of 82. Alex leaves to mourn his sister Louise Mospanchuk of Selkirk and brothers Vernie (Doreen) of Esterhazy and Gordon of Winnipeg as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Alex was predeceased by his wife June and brother Donald, sisters Agnes Burdiak, Jean Chester and parents Antoni and Mary Kasprick and brothers-in-law Joseph Burdiak, John Mospanchuk and sister-in-law Emily Kasprick. Alex was born in Eden Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where he spent his working career at Canada Safeway until his retirement. Alex, loved to camp and travel. He would take annual vacations with Louise and John and travel throughout Canada and parts of the United States. Alex also loved to spend his summer months camping at Birds Hill Park where he could be found riding his bike, playing horseshoes or lawn darts, feeding the squirrels or just enjoying a nice campfire surrounded by many family and friends. It was Alex's wish to be cremated with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all staff at Cornish 2 at Misericordia Hospital for their care and compassion given to Alex during his stay. You all touched his heart.
