GEORGE MAURICE DAENINCK After a brief illness, in the arms of his loving wife, George Maurice Daeninck began his journey with the angels on May 22, 2014, at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years Linda; children Kristie and Craig, Kurt and Carol, grandchildren Isla, Alexis, Emilie and Haleigh; his brothers Rick (Joanne), Ron (Mary), Jim (Lou), Ken (Kim), Larry (Heather) and their families; mother-in-law Audrey Soper; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Irene. He was a man with a huge heart who enjoyed the good times spent fishing, curling, hunting, tending to his garden at his dream home in Baldur and spending time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts. A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the Baldur Memorial Hall, with Joanne Daeninck officiating. Reception to follow. Please dress comfortably. In lieu of flowers plant a tree or donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3, or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Deegan, Dr. White, Tracy, Shelley, Roberta and the ambulance drivers for the care that they provided, as well as Florence for all of her support.   • George was instrumental in my life, helping shape many directions and avenues taken. George saved my life when I needed a father figure to lean on and was a tremendous friend! I can recall many a fun time at the lake spending time on the water and at the Steak Pit enjoying many stories and laughs. George, you were one of a kind and know you have and will always continue to mean a great deal to me.
