KATHLEEN (CATARINA) PALLONE (nee FALVO) Kathleen (Catarina) Pallone (nee Falvo) was called home to be with the Lord June 2, 2014, joining her predeceased husband Domenico and son Pasquale. She is survived by daughters Filomena Schellenberg (Wayne), Phyllis Smith (son Joshua) and Erminia Johannson (Bruce) and sister Frances Siciliano (Egidio) and sister-in-law Lucia Caliguiri and brother-in-law Giuseppe Pallone of Italy and granddaughter, Nicole Schellenberg as well as many nieces and nephews. Born April 1, 1925 in the town of Transcona, Manitoba to Luigi and Felicia Falvo (nee Hasi) who immigrated in 1918 from Amato, Italy. Kathleen worked at Eaton's mail order and various sewing factories during the wartime until marrying Domenico from Miglierina, Italy in 1954. It was then that she became a fulltime house maker and mother, centering her life around her children. She was known for her smile and great percolated coffee. She adored her grandson Joshua and was known to play hockey with him in the basement in his younger years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Kildonan Personal Care Home for their smiles and assistance to Mom. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Klassen Funeral Home.
