DORIS IHME (CORMACK) Peacefully on June 3, 2014 Mom went to meet her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Born to Scottish immigrant parents, Mom lived and worked in Calgary, AB where her own mother, who was widowed at a young age, raised six children during the depression and war years. Mom and Dad met in Calgary, were married in 1950 and Mom began the first of many moves as she supported Dad in his career in immigration. Those moves included Germany, Sweden, Yorkton and Saskatoon, SK, Coutts, AB and eventually to Winnipeg in 1968. Mom fondly reminisced about those years but Sweden and Coutts always held a special place in her heart. Her love of travel continued into her later years and in 2005 at the age of 79, Mom rode a camel while visiting Jay and Lori in Damascus, Syria. Mom worked as a health care aide at Bethania Personal Care Home, but her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many hours were spent knitting sweaters and baking cookies by the dozen. Her bread and donuts were legendary. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her son Jay (Lori), son Jan (Trudi) and daughter Susan (Leroy), grandchildren Murray Jay (Kelly), Robert (Amanda), Adrian (Scott), Ian (Tanis), David (Kristen), Jenny (Aaron), Eddie, Drayden and Raia, great-grandchildren Ashton, Hudson, Corban, Marek, Luke, Oliver, Blake, Brett, and Elliot and many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1978, parents Peter and Margaret Cormack, brothers Alf and Pete, sisters Peg and Isabel. Her twin brother Ron predeceased Mom by one month on May 3, 2014. We love you Dodo and look forward to the day we will be together again. Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:00 am at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mom's name to The King's Fellowship Church, 190 Osborne Street North, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1V4, in support of the African Orphans Fund. Doris was a friend. I am so glad to have gotten to know Doris these past few years. I remember running into Doris at a store near Garden City Shopping Centre and since that time we became friends. She is a inspiration and a blessing. Much love to the family, Nicole - Posted by: Nicole Shimonek (Friend) on: Jun 07, 2014

Dear Sue, Leroy and family, I was so blessed to be able to fellowship with your mom Doris, while I attended Kings Fellowship two or three years ago. Her love to others, her kindness, gentleness and genuineness really touched my heart. I look forward to seeing my beautiful sister again one day. May The Holy Spirit fill you with His love and comfort. God Bless, Sandra - Posted by: Sandi Freund (friend of the family) on: Jun 05, 2014

Then I heard a voice from heaven say " Write: BLESSED ARE THE DEAD WHO DIE IN THE LORD FROM NOW ON." "Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." Revelation 14:13. R.I.P Doris, you will be always remembered. With our deepest sympathy to the family. The SHILLINGLAWS.
