JERRY MIRON BUDYK March 31, 1928 - June 4, 2014 Jerry passed away peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents and his three sisters. He is survived by his daughter Ellen (Rob) Rogers, son Doug (Ali) Budyk, grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Chad (Julia), Melissa (Dave) and Angie (Daniel); great-grandchildren Emerson, Parker, Emery and Olivia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry grew up in Transcona and loved it dearly. He had many friends there and was happy to return when he moved into the Park Manor Personal Care Home. Jerry's greatest passion was golf. He was a member of Elmhurst for about 40 years spending every day that he could there. Jerry spent over 25 years volunteering for the Manitoba Golf Association, running Junior Tournaments all through Manitoba. This resulted in him being awarded "Volunteer of the Year". Jerry spent 40 years working at CN working his way up from crew-caller to Via Engineer. Thank you to all of the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home who cared for Jerry in his final months. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a future date.
