  • Dear Diane and boys, Russ & Rich, I am so sorry to hear of the sad news. I know it has been a long time since I last seen Roger five years ago as I am currently living in BC. I was unable to attend the funeral as I just found out about Roger's passing. I would like to express my heartfelt sympathies to the family. Roger and I grew up together in St. Boniface and became best friends inseparable we got into lots of trouble boy's being boys and I have many fond memories of our childhood. Roger moved away to St. Malo for a short period of time. When he moved back to Winnipeg he came with a new addition his wonderful wife Diane. My wife Shirl and his Wife Diane became friends and we were once again reunited, we lived in the complex for many years raising our children together. His boys became my boy's friends; we had many great times together, I have lost a good friend which I will always remember. I will miss your laughter my brother. See you on the other side my friend. - Posted by: Gilles Giasson (Friend ) on: Jun 18, 2014

  • My deepest condolences to Diane and the entire family. All my experiences working with him and then random times are smiling and joking. Will always remember him as the one dancing on the wood planks & singing ("Patio lanterns" if I recall) 3 floors up on the side of a house many many years ago working to make the days go by faster. - Posted by: Don - Calgary (Friend and co-worker ages ago) on: Jun 12, 2014

  • Dear Diane and boys, I am so so sorry to hear of the sad news. I know it has been a long time since we last visited. I wanted you to know how grateful I am for our earlier shared friendship. I will never forget how both you and Roger (the boys were so young) welcomed me into you home, during my time of personal need. He was a very gracious and wholesome soul with a delightful sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by many. Wishing you and your family much peace and many blessings. • Walked into his trailer and introduced myself and he said I always heard about you. From then on it was like we knew each other for 30 years. Me and my buddy Barry Scofield interacted with him all day long. We all laughed all day long. Roger said that he would miss us when we left the job. He introduced me and Barry as a married couple to everyone. I have lost a good friend which I will always remember. I will miss your laughter buddy. - Posted by: rick stadnyk (worker) on: Jun 10, 2014
