Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY STEFANYSHYN It is with my greatest and deepest sorrow to announce the passing of Anthony Stefanyshyn at the age of 71, of Hadashville, Manitoba, on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Ste. Anne's Hospital. Those left to remember his kind and caring personality, triumphs and accomplishments are his wife Jean and her two sons John and Frank, siblings Anne (Bill), Nellie, Veronica (Al), brother-in-law Walter, sister-in-law Marge, along with many nieces and nephews, close friends and a very caring community in which he resided. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary, brothers William, Michael and Dan, and sisters Stella (Lewis) and Carol. Tony was a man of unmeasurable knowledge and skill, and contributed greatly to his community and surrounding areas, many have used the word "Genius" when it came to describing my uncle. The memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., interment will be at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anthony's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Children's Wish Foundation of Manitoba and Nunavut. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111

Condolences to Tony's family on the loss of this fine man. Tony worked as the mechanic at Whiteshell Esso in the '70's where almost all of the staff were teenagers. Tony always set a good example to the rest of us in his actions, language and how he treated others. What a great guy! As well, we have a lot of respect for Tony not only as a person, a great mechanic, but as a fine musician - RIP Tony, you are missed. - Posted by: H Yarmill & R Gawluk (Past co-worker, friends) on: Jun 14, 2014

Condolences to Tony's family. I've known Tony since we were children. I've never met another person with as much mechanical knowledge as he had. If you were unable to repair a part you knew that he would be able to build you one. You will be sorely missed Tony. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Ken & Lorna Ivanyshyn (friend) on: Jun 12, 2014

I have very fond memories of Tony from when i was young and he work for us at the Whiteshell Esso as our mechanic,he was always there to fix our snowmobiles for my brother and i and to start the Rupp Ruppster dune buggy and then give us heck when we would race around the gas pumps, one time i asked Tony if i could drive his snowmobile and he said, "if you can get it started , you can drive it", determined to prove i was strong enough to start it i went outside in the dark, swept it off, and was looking for the recoil when i opened the hood and realized there was no motor in it,Tony thought that was pretty funny.
