Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE LAURENCELLE (née THIBERT) On June 15, 2014, Lorraine passed away with grace after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine was born on October 26, 1939 and grew up in Cayer and St. Boniface, where she met her husband of over 50 years Irenée Laurencelle. Together they built their life in St. Boniface, St. Vital, and then in St. Adolphe. Lorraine leaves to mourn, her daughter Denise (Gilbert Leclerc), daughter-in-law Louise Laurencelle and son-in-law Maurice Simard. Memère will be forever lovingly remembered by her grandchildren James (Laurie), Jeff (Katie), Christopher and Nicholas Leclerc, Jennifer Kaptein (Brent), Britny Laurencelle (John) and Michael, Matthew and Maddison Simard, and her beloved great-grandchildren Blaze Laurencelle, Jet Kaptein and Bridget Leclerc. She is also survived by her siblings Guy (Jeanne), Denis Thibert and Dolly (Henry) De Vehr, and Léa Thibert and her in-laws Ubald (Hugette), Lucien (Lucille), Renald (Betty), Gilbert, Jeannine Kirouac, Yvette Laurencelle and Ginette Finch as well as many nieces, nephews and friends, including her friends at the Club Amical in St. Adolphe, le Rendez-vous des Pionniers in Ste-Agathe, and her Saturday afternoon games group. She was predeceased by her parents Rose-Alma and Wilfred Thibert, her husband Irenée, her son Roger Laurencelle, and her daughters Marie Ange Laurencelle and Nicole Simard and her brother Euclide Thibert. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor of the Victoria Hospital for their excellent care and support. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church with Father René Chartier officiating, with eulogy at 2:15 p.m. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make a donation to a charity of your choice, to make a child feel special, to spend time laughing with friends and family or to take a moment to delight in the small, beautiful things that make life beautiful like Lorraine always did. Aunty Lorraine, I will miss your smile, your giggles and your kindness. You are now with Uncle Rene, Roger, Nikki and all of your loved ones gone before you. I know you are all giggling in heaven and happy times are once again yours. Give Bob a big hug for me.
