Lorraine - we were shocked and saddened to learn of Bill's passing. We certainly shared many laughs, a few lies and some good times together while you were here in Halifax years ago. The four baptismal buddies have gone in many different directions, but there will always be a bond among them. So sad that the bond is now broken although our faith assures us of our eternal home. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Neal & Jean Gill - Posted by: NealNeNeal jean GillJeanNeal (Frien) on: Jun 22, 2014

It is so hard not to be crushed by the loss of someone who enjoyed life and sharing with those around him as much as Bill did. Bill set a wonderful example for me on so many fronts and I'll cherish my time with him always. His life is so worthy of celebration and I hope that you and your family experience the joy of many memories through the inevitable tears that will fall as you grieve your loss. Dear Lorraine and family, We were absolutely devastated to hear this sad, sad news. What a tragic loss for you all, and at a time when so much joy and shared times lay ahead of you. I can only say that we do not grieve as those without hope - and we pray for God's Spirit to wrap arms around you now and flood your hearts and minds with His peace that passes all understanding. Lorraine - Saul and I both have a special affection for you; he is very sad for you and says to say, "I love you, Mrs. DeMonye". - Posted by: Bowman Family () on: Jun 19, 2014

Lorraine, Jill and I are so sorry for your loss. Bill was an incredible man and he taught me many things in life: To enjoy God's gift of life, to be upbeat, to use humour to heal suffering, and so much more. Bill was a leader and did not fear - you could see he held God's hand and with this partnership, no task was too big. Bill jumped right in. We will miss Bill as he was an inspiration to me and I thank him dearly for seeding virtues in me that continue to grow. Bill will always be with me and I will use his teachings to improve other people's lives as he did mine. Lorraine - we pray for you strength during this challenging time and I look forward to celebrate Bill's life with you later today. It was a real pleasure to have known Bill and the deMonye family when you lived in Nova Scotia. Bill was a truly loving father and husband. His love for God was seen every step he took. Lorraine, I pray God will give you strength to endure thru this heartbreaking time and the future. Your children are now adults, may God wrap his loving arms around each. In Christian Love. I first met Bill when he worked for ABB and he would come to the Meter Shop. Our paths crossed again when I worked on the 6th floor of our downtown office where we shared the same coffee bar area. Bill had an ever ready smile and was guaranteed to give a cheerful hello when you saw him. I am truly sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Charlene Monds (Hydro) on: Jun 18, 2014

Hi Lorraine & family We cannot tell you how very shocked and saddened we are to hear of Bill's sudden passing. Our prayers are with all of you as you deal with the grief of such a terrific shock of losing someone so young. Both Cathy and Cheryl feel your sorrow and want you to know they are thinking of you in these days. God must have had another plan for Bill but so hard to think of life here without him in your lives. To lose him on Father's Day to his Heavenly Father is so unique. Congratulations on receiving your Master's. All those pictures will be so special and Bill was there to share your success and happiness. God Bless you and each of your family in the days ahead.
