Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDRE GERVAIS January 04, 1932 - June 16, 2014 Peacefully surrounded by love ones, André Gervais journeyed to his eternal home on Monday, June 16. He will be remembered by his wife Dora; brothers Joe, Charles, Eugene; nieces and nephews. André was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rosalie Soucie; by his sisters Florence and Cécile; and brothers Henri, Alfred, and Robert. Soon after his birth, his mother died. André was raised by Adrien and Albertine Charbonneau. André was a teacher, a devoted husband, very much involved in his faith. He was generous in helping foreign missions and sponsoring children in underdeveloped countries. André worked with Development and Peace for many years. He will be missed by his family and friends. Prayers will take place on Friday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street, with viewing at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Norbert Parish, 80 St. Pierre Street, with eulogies and viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Blouw and the nurses at Victoria Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to André in his final days. Mon Oncle was a humble man with a great sense of humour. Always asking me and my family how we were and how things were going with their careers and aspirations.
