LAWRENCE POMMER In honour and loving memory of Lawrence Pommer. Survived by his beloved wife, Moira; two sisters Carol and Vivian; three sons Mitchell, Glen and Christian; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, he was the last of five brothers Al, Vern, Jerry, and Bill. He was a man of conviction, dedication, and integrity who brought strength and guidance to his family and friends, renown for his generosity with his time, intellect, capabilities and unwavering support. An outdoorsman, engineer, entrepreneur, and former Naval officer who's happiest days were spent hunting, fishing, and boating with his family and friends, he brought his family and his life full circle when he and his wife chose Winnipeg Beach to celebrate their retirement. Lawrence departed quietly and with dignity and composure in the comfort of his home this past December 24 after a short and mortal fight with cancer. Lawrence leaves behind a legacy of admiration and respect indicative of the man who reliably and consistently put the needs of others before his own. All who knew him are better for it, he is dearly missed and fondly remembered. A memorial service will be at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014. Lunch will be provided following the service. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
