ANTOINETTE NOLIN (CALLEWAERT)
Date of Passing: Jun 19, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTOINETTE NOLIN (nee CALLEWAERT) Peacefully on June 19, 2014, Antoinette Nolin, at the age of 81, passed away at Saint Boniface General Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Danny, her daughter Sharon, and son-in-law Rick Tabachuck. Ninette is survived by daughter Linda (Bruce), son Ken (Janet), daughter-in-law Lisa, and grandchildren, John, Daniel, Ryan, Kristin, Lindsay and Kelsey. For 27 years, she was a loyal employee of the T. Eaton's Company, where she started in the mail order and retired from the retail store in 1997. In her strong faith, as an active member of the Précieux-Sang community, she spent countless hours supporting the parishes' needs through the weekly Bingo's and other volunteer endeavors. For numerous years to follow, until her health could no longer allow, she turned her focus to those in need by volunteering her time at the Centre Flavie-Laurent. Over the years she made many friends, especially during her time at Place DesMeurons. She always enjoyed special gatherings, celebrations and dinners held in the block, and in the earlier years, the lawn bowling. She loved to challenge others at a good old game of cards or Scrabble, as this meant she was spending quality time with family and friends. This past year, Ninette resided at Manoir Cathédrale where she was fortunate to renew old friendships and build new ones. Family was always Ninette's one big love, cherishing the special times spent together. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she was always eager to hear of their stories. The family would like to give special thanks to the home care staff, especially Leah and Nurse Jeannine, for their compassionate aid in caring for our mother. A further thank you to the exceptional staff from wing 5B at the Saint Boniface General Hospital. All of your compassion and care allowed our mother to live out her final days with peace and dignity, and for that we are grateful. Rest in peace mom, we love you. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Précieux-Sang Parish, 200 rue Kenny. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antoinette's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice. Condolences may be sent to www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca. Linda and families ... Reid, myself and the boys just want to pass along our deepest condolences. Never easy but as we all know inevitable, death needs to be regarded as a new beginning and not an end. A new, pain free, beautiful beginning. Linda you know what we got to do ... Pick the weekend, call Claire and let's celebrate your mom's life by spending it around the campfire hearing all you have to say and having a toast and a giggle in her honor. Love you guys ... Jennifer, Reid and family ... Xoxoxo - Posted by: Jennifer, Reid and Family (Friends) on: Jun 25, 2014

Linda, Bruce and John and all the family, I knew Mrs. Nolin for almost 40 years. In later years, she would tell me to call her Ninette. I told her you have been Mrs. Nolin for so many years, I can't change now. We share your sadness and you are all in our thoughts and in our prayers. I remember the days of seeing her at Eaton's, the many times she welcomed me into her home, the 25th Anniversary party....they both looked so happy and so young! The visits at Bruce and Linda's. I remember the sad days too. Mrs. Nolin was a dear and special lady and she will be missed. - Posted by: Wanda and Brian Widsten (Friends) on: Jun 24, 2014

Dear Ken, Linda & Families, I am so sorry to see that your Mom has passed on. She really was a terrific lady and was always very good to me. I'm sad for your loss, but happy that she'll be reunited with your Dad (another wonderful person), and Sharon, who left her way too soon. Your Mom's passage was beautifully captured. I'm sorry that I lost contact, I missed out on knowing a great person. God Bless you all. Love Pat - Posted by: Pat Bray (niece) on: Jun 23, 2014
