Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH O. MCDOWELL Suddenly on June 19, 2014 Ralph McDowell passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Beloved husband of Lillitta McDowell, father to Anita, Jeffrey (deceased) and Hamilton, grandfather to Sarah, Khali and Nyah in Canada, and others in the US. Ralph was born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and immigrated to England as a young man and later to Canada. He worked in the trucking industry for many years and was a great teacher to others in the trade. He had a strong faith which carried him through life. He will be missed for his great sense of humour, his love of family and loyalty to his friends. During his retirement he also tended and loved his rose and vegetable gardens. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital -Dialysis Unit staff, Emergency staff, especially Dayna, Laurie, Leanne, Sarah M., Carol and Nerisha, and ICU staff especially Shannon. Prayer services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Boulevard. So sorry to hear of Mr. McDowell's passing. He will be remembered for his strong yet gentle personality and his love for his family. We has left us with good memories of happy times spent by his fireplace listening to his stories and playing games. He will certainly be missed. Rest in Peace Mr. McDowell.
