Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESA MORA STANLEY April 9, 1924 June 19, 2014 In the early morning of June 19, Terry passed into the loving care of Jesus Christ. All of her long life she had been faithful to her God, her family and her friends, and left this life with few regrets. Her last six months were difficult with a number of falls and surgeries that left her body too weak to continue. We wish it wasn't so, but understand that her time had come and rejoice that she is in heaven and no longer suffering. Terry was predeceased by her husband Bob, her son James and five children in infancy. She leaves to grieve her passing son Robert (Pat), grandsons Noah and Adam, granddaughter Laura McMynn (Mike), great-granddaughters Olivia and Tessa, her sisters-in-law Margaret Conlin and Juliette Arnold, and many nephews and nieces spread across Canada. Terry was born to Lorenzo and Nelle Bourassa on a farm near Lafleche, SK and grew up in the difficult 1920s and 1930s, starting her education in a one-room school house and graduating from the convent in Lafleche. She remembered it all with fondness. She was an accomplished artist, enjoying a long involvement with the Forum Art Institute, and was for many years a dedicated member of the Bethesda Church family. Terry always remembered the good things about her family and friends, never pointing out or complaining about the shortcomings she must have seen in all of us. It was her gift that she made us feel loved. A memorial service will be held at Bethesda Church, 1350 Grant Avenue on Thursday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice. We are sorry to hear of Terry's death. Mum and Dad - Eileen and Conn Cahalane were great friends of Terry and Bob through the airline business and we have many happy memories of them both. We had a great holiday as a family with them in Ireland and Mum and Dad visited them in Canada also. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Stanley family on the loss of Theresa. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. In addition, my mother Anna and two brothers, Nick and Orest, are thinking and praying for you. Theresa was always a very warm and caring person and it was my family's pleasure to have known her during the past few months. My mother Anna was Theresa's hospital roommate during her stay at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Theresa was always friendly, caring and always kept company with my mother during her few months in the hospital. Theresa will be missed by all of us. What a beautifully written tribute to Terry's life. Mrs Stanley was a dear and longtime friend of our family. We remember her special interest and care of our sister, Janet, and mother, Dori. It was an essential part of any Christmas or birthday to visit Terry, or at least exchange phone calls.
