MARY BETTY PELISEK Mary went to be with her Lord on June 22, 2014 at Seven Oaks Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Poland on January 5, 1926, one of three children born to the late Rudy and Mary Dvorak. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis Pelisek and sister Annie Koutecky. Mary will forever be remembered by her daughter Linda (Jim), grandson Layne (Lori), granddaughter Kelly (Denis), great-granddaughters Janelle and Ashlyn and brother George (Kathy) as well as countless friends and family who were blessed to know her. Mary had an unwavering faith in God and touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She taught us all how to be kind. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. "For I know that my Redeemer lives." Condolences. Although I was not close to Aunt Mary over the last couple of years she had reached out to Tori and I. We had sent cards and pictures and conversed a bit. I was coming out in 2 weeks to visit with dad and Kathy and family. There was talk of going to see her. So sorry we did not make it in time. She would of been the only Aunt I would of meet. Mrs. & Mr Pelisek used to babysit my brother and I. They would read books and play 45's on a small record player. We had a great time! They would put us to bed until my Mom and Dad picked us up. I remember Mrs Pelisek always being in her garden with all her vegetables.
