Thank you to everyone who has passed through here and shared your memories and kind words about my dad. There is so much to be said about him but I will make it short. Our family greatly appreciates all the support and everything that everyone has done for us. Most of all I'd like to thank my uncle Barry for his continued support and love, he has been the best support and rock my parents could have ever asked for during the hardest months of our lives. I will never forget the greatest man that has ever been in my life and will now live forever in my heart. Love you Daddy. - Posted by: Livia (Daughter) on: Jul 16, 2014

I knew Kris for 26 wonderful years. He was our main courier, our "go to" guy, at Taylor McCaffrey. Our firm all loved him! He was incredibly reliable, and funny; he always had a smile on his face and had a story to share with everyone. He had his pick up box in my mailroom, and he was there every half hour, so we saw one another frequently and thus started our long friendship. He was passionate about his Icelandic ancestry, and he schooled me as much as time allowed in that field. But his greatest love was his family. I have seldom met a man whose life revolved so much around his wife and children; they made up his whole universe. I always had the latest news on everyone; his immediate family, his cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. He was very intelligent and knowledgeable on any subject. It was a joy to work with him. He was so helpful and generous of his time, and he became part of our Taylor McCaffrey family. All of us will miss you terribly. On a personal note; Kris, I will never forget you! Thank you for being my good friend and for having such an impact on my life.... - Posted by: Carolyn Gillespie (friend ) on: Jul 01, 2014

It gives me great sadness to hear of the loss of our friend and co-worker. The time we spent together may not have been great in terms of length but it was very meaningful and will be cherished. We will all miss you very much. - Posted by: Scott Lins (Co-worker) on: Jun 30, 2014

Kris and I met during my 1st year at the University of Winnipeg (1974) and have been friends ever since although we have not seen each other for a number of years. I have many fond memories such as mixing Black Russians in our mouths during our regular card games in residence at Graham Hall, piling into the back of Kris's Honda Civic (before they became popular or road worthy), and his frequent (and totally unique) laugh. Everyone that knew Kris couldn't help but like him and he will certainly be missed by all that had that opportunity. - Posted by: Harold Chornoboy (Friend from University Days (and beyond)) on: Jun 29, 2014

You will be sadly missed but will live on in my heart. I have so many fond memories. You knew you were my favorite nephew (and only nephew). It was great having a heated argument with you even if it was almost impossible to come out a winner. On a serious side, you were there when I needed you at the time of Uncle David's illness. You stayed with the kids when I took him to Rochester and you were there to drop in and have a coffee with him. This is so indicative of your kind and generous personality. How I loved to have you drop by for a meal! This inspite of the fact you were quite a critic......... I never lived down the time I cooked ham in Orange Crush.... who thought it would taste so bad! My heart is full of sadness. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend and nephew. Till we meet again. HDTICA - Posted by: Astros Martin (Aunt) on: Jun 28, 2014

Dear Katia and family, I am so sorry to hear of Kris' passing. I remember all of our fun times at Arthur's BBQs. Each year there were some new friends/family to meet. The first summer your daughter Myra was there. Kris talked so much of her and always of you, his love. My prayers and love to you at this time. He will be missed.
