MICHAEL ZAZULINSKI It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dearly beloved (Michael) Mike Zazulinski on June 26, 2014, at the age of 76 years. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years, Elsie, and her children Bryan (Lorna), Delores (Greg), her grandchildren Justin, Mark, Curtis and Trevor. He is survived by his brother Peter (Linda), sisters Mary (John), Annie (late Mike), Connie (Roman), Debbie (Jerry) and sister in law Irene as well as many nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline, brother Gordon and infant sister Emily. Mike was born and raised in Fraserwood on the family farm where he worked with his parents, brother Gordon and nephew Kevin. Mike was a dedicated farmer and the backbone of Flying Z Ranch. He loved his cattle and looked forward to the new calves each year. It was evident that farming was in his blood, as he went to the farm every day until his last. In 1992, Mike married the love of his life; Elsie and they very much enjoyed their peaceful country home surrounded by wildlife. In Mike's early years he challenged himself by obtaining his pilots licence and flew over the farm for over 20 years. From a young boy Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed camping, gardening and dancing with his wife Elsie. He was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted man who was always there to help anyone who needed it and never asked for anything in return. Prayers will be held at Mackenzie Funeral Home in Teulon on Wednesday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Fraserwood Hall. Interment to follow at Polson Cemetery. Rev. Father Peter Chorney officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Polson Cemetery c/o Bob McNaughton, Inwood, MB R0C 1P0. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Deepest sympathy. Mike was a wonderful and loving man. - Posted by: Daviette and AndyNoga (Friends) on: Jul 02, 2014

  • If a stranger approached me and asked what kind of man was Mike, I could tell him many things. I could tell him that Mike was a kind, gentle, humble and caring man. That Mike was the kind of man who if you visited him at his home, he would stand up and greet you with a handshake or a hug and always a smile. That he enjoyed dancing, helping prepare meals, visiting with family and friends, and playing cards even if he wasn't winning. I could tell the stranger that Mike was the kind of man who would drive out onto a flooded road to pull out a family in distress. That if you needed someone to give your cow a needle, Mike could do that for you. Mike would do anything he could for anyone and never expect anything in return. If you asked Mike where are some good hunting spots, he would gladly tell you. But he wouldn't tell you where the great hunting spots were because those were his. If you needed to know how much rain fell the night before, Mike could tell you on the spot. I could tell the stranger that Mike was the kind of man who picked wild flowers for the woman he loved. That while fixing a fence, Mike would grab any container from his truck and fill it with mushrooms to bring home for a tasty dinner. Mike was the kind of man who would drive 80 kmph all the way to Winnipeg so he could see how crops are growing in other places or possibly catch a glimpse of deer grazing in the distance. That he would feed the ground squirrels at campgrounds and watch them for hours. I could tell the stranger many things about Mike, but I'd rather say it all in one sentence. So if a stranger asked me what kind of man was Mike, I would say "If I had a son, I would want him to grow up to be exactly like Mike." - Posted by: B (s) on: Jun 30, 2014
