Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I first met Theresa at St. Boniface Hospital many years ago while visiting my mother. Terry was in the bed next to mom. As I walked into the room, this lady in the next bed started to tell me a joke. Which I responded in kind. Over the next few weeks each time I visited mom, I visited with Terry and always shared a joke or two. Eventually, mom was moved to another room and I still went to visit Terry. Because of her and my love of jokes, I made her a joke book which she kept till the day she passed. She always loved a good joke. As time went by Terry returned to Red Lake On. One day many years later, I received a call from Terry saying she was now in Winnipeg at the Oakview PCH. I woud visited with her a couple of time a year. We would talk for hours. She was so proud of her family. In spite of her own problems and the constant pain, she was always happy and loved to share a joke. Terry, sorry I couldn't get to visit with you more often. I'll miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. - Posted by: Al O'Toole (Friend) on: Sep 21, 2014

  • I was so sorry to hear of Theresa's passing. She was an across -the-hall neighbour of my Mom (Kay Brown) at Oakview Place for many years. I will always remember her friendliness and kindness towards my Mom and me. Theresa was always busy knitting and loved having company. She will be missed. - Posted by: Kathy Brown () on: Jul 04, 2014

  • Through the years of knowing Theresa at Oakview PCH, I have been amazed, moved and inspired by her. She adapted to many difficult changes in her life, not the least of which were the many physical challenges she encountered. She was much loved by the Spiritual Care volunteers who visited with her. Her devotion to her faith, her God, her traditions helped to restore her Spirit. And she shared that faith with so many of us. One of the last things I shared with her was her love of praying the Rosary. Her strength, her courage, her joy were rooted in her faith. May she watch over all of us, free now from her own discomforts, and share with us her grace and her Ystrength. With love and prayers, Theresa... • My Auntie Terry was amazing. She triumphed over so many difficulties and hardships, and yet she always had a smile and a giggle. She loved to share love and laughter. I will always always smile when I think of her. I've had a wonderfully close relationship with her and there will be a very big void in my life now without her. Thank you Auntie for always being there for me... I love you more than words can ever say and will miss you forever. I will think of you often, for we are "Mus" Now you are in heaven and you can make the angels giggle too. I am thankful you are at peace with God now. I love you my Sweet Auntie xoxoxo Until we meet again. - Posted by: Debi Russell Enns (Niece) on: Jun 30, 2014

  • Terry was an amazing person, with a ready smile and twinkle in her eye as she told a joke or two. Her optimistic and courageous outlook on life was always an inspiration to us. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I am happy she will now rest in peace by God's side, as we continue to remember all the wonderful times shared. - Posted by: Carol & Ray Haydaman and Angel Remus (Cousin) on: Jun 30, 2014
