Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT JON ALBERTSON August 19, 1933 - June 28, 2014 "A heart of gold stopped beating - God only takes the best." Peacefully at his residence in Arnes, MB, Albert Albertson, aged 80 years passed away. Survived by his sisters Sigurlin (Lloyd) Sigvaldason and Arlene (Ken) Peterson; brother-in-law Ingvar Karvelson and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bjorgvin and Sigurlina (Lena) Albertson; sisters Doreen Karvelson and Florence Albertson; brother Marvin and great-niece Anna Johnson and a sister in infancy. Albert lived all of his life in Arnes, on the family farm "Mel". He started fishing on Lake Winnipeg at an early age with his father and retired after 51 years. He loved the lake, he missed fishing greatly when he had to quit due to illness. He continued to go down to the dock daily to see how the boys made out with their catch. (Even though they always said it was poor!) Albert was a kind and generous man. He will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church. Thank you to Dr. R.C. Patel for all of his years of care and compassion shown to Albert.
