Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE CHASZEWSKI It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve Chaszewski, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin of Arborg, Manitoba on July 5, 2014 at the age of 74 years. He will be missed by his son John Chaszewski (Chantal Hamel-Bouchard); daughter Elaine (Lawrence) Solinski and grandchildren Kaleigh and Derek Solinski; sister Helen (Steve) Yaremus; sister Irene Chaszewski; brother Mike Chaszewski; brother Daniel (Carol) Chaszewski, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by Muriel Chaszewski; his parents John and Frances, and sister-in-law Doreen Chaszewski. Dad had numerous jobs related to labour and road construction but nothing came close to his love of farming in Skylake. Dad enjoyed all aspects of nature including hunting, trapping and fishing. He also loved mechanics and would repair his own vehicles and farm machinery. Dad loved to tell stories with his friends over coffee especially at Chicken Chef. Steve's family appreciated the assistance of all the home care providers and the health care professionals at Arborg Hospital, Gimli Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital and the Respiratory Clinic at Health Sciences Centre. A funeral service will take place at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Silver, MB (Hwy. 7) on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Father Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow at Skylake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
