ALLISON MAE HUBBARD (nee JEEVES) 1931 - 2014 Allison was born in Winnipeg, MB and raised in Argyle, MB. After a brief illness she passed away peacefully in Stonewall Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 2014. In 1953 Allison married the love of her life, Chuck. They moved from Stonewall to Pine Falls where they resided for 36 years. While living in Pine Falls Allison worked for many years for the Royal Bank and then moved on to manage the small Pine Falls Credit Union office until her retirement. In their retirement they travelled and camped extensively all over North America. Allison loved spending time with family and friends. She welcomed all with open arms to her homes in Pine Falls and Stonewall, and to "The Cottage" at Wallace Lake. As Mom, Nana, Aunty and friend she loved to watch her two children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and all of their friends in all of their activities. She especially liked spending time watching her kids at the rink playing hockey, at the ballpark playing ball, or at the soccer pitch playing soccer. When she wasn't cheering on others, Allison herself was an avid curler in Pine Falls for many years. Moving back to Stonewall in 1989 Allison enjoyed spending time with her many friends at Lions Manor in Stonewall. She played and hosted countless card games with family and friends at "The Manor". Allison was a longstanding member of the Oddfellows and Rebekahs, and also of the Royal Canadian Legion Branches in both Pine Falls and Stonewall. Allison loved spending time with family including brothers-in-law Ed (Darlene) and Jim (Karen), sisters-in-law Ethel, Eva and Leola, children Brenda and Bryan (Debra), grandchildren Rob (Jackie), Shaun (Kyra), Della (Shawn), Jennifer (Ken), Steven (Heather), and great-grandchildren Austin, Brenden, Julie, Johannes and Brady. The Hubbard family would like to thank the staff at the Stonewall Hospital for their tireless support of Allison during her illness. At Allison's request there will be no formal funeral service. Her ashes will be buried with Chucks' at Argyle cemetery at a later date. Donations in Allison's name can be made to Stonewall United Church. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • With heavy heart I say "farewell". I am truly blessed to have had you as a 'friend'. - Posted by: Ande Johnston (Lions Manor Sister) on: Jul 14, 2014

  • We remember Allison as always being cheerful and helpful and very much in charge of whatever came her way. So sorry to hear that she passed away, but also thankful that her health problems did not drag on for years, which would not have suited her at all! We visited with Allison and Brenda at the Selkirk Hospital recently, and it was so heart-warming to be greeted with her usual bright smile and animated conversation. She will be missed. - Posted by: Shirley & Don Campbell (friends) on: Jul 13, 2014

  • I remember many great happy memories of both Allison & Charlie when going to their cabin as a young boy with my folks. Playing cards fishing the place had no electricity and being able to light Allison's favorite kerosene lamp from time to time. Most of all Allison was such a pleasure to be around. Condolences to Brenda & Brian and family. Gary DeLuca former Pine Falls resident - Posted by: Gary DeLuca (family friend) on: Jul 12, 2014

  • Sincere condolences to Brenda, Bryan, and families. Allison always impressed me on how she had handled all the misfortunes and hardships that she was forced to deal with, the last number of years. She always seemed to be able to make the best of life's tough dealings. Chuck was very lucky to have Allison as a life mate, and her support for her whole family was commited and strong. Heartfelt Sympathies to all her family. Sincerely Kim and Lynn Sharpe - Posted by: Kim Sharpe (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2014

  • Sincere sympathy to all of your family. Walked over to the hospital today to have an early visit as our weeks company had left. I am so sorry for your loss, but relieved that Allison is at peace. A very strong lady. Cherish all those well deserved memories. She will truly be missed by so many. - Posted by: Don & Lou Best (Neighbour ) on: Jul 12, 2014
