Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE PERCY WILLIAMS 1920 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of George Percy Williams (93 years of age) on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Victoria General Hospital. Percy was predeceased by his parents, George and Carrie. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn, his children Lorlie (John) and Cindy (Shaun), and his grandchildren, Connor, Cayley and Chelsea. Percy had a very full life. During the Second World War, he was called to service. Percy also worked for over 40 years for the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1954, Percy married Evelyn Moore and in May of 2014, they celebrated 60 years together. Percy and Evelyn enjoyed many active years together residing in Thunder Bay, ON, Regina, SK and Winnipeg. When not working or taking care of his family, Percy was a true railroader who loved spending time at Mowbray, the railroad station he owned as a cottage and lived at as a younger boy. Thank you to Don and Lyne for carrying on Dad's memories. During 2009, Percy and Evelyn relocated to Meadowood Manor Nursing Home where they have been well cared for ever since. Percy was a very caring husband, dad and grandfather who always put others before himself and he will be missed terribly in our lives. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband, dad and grandfather. A service to celebrate Percy's life will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 12:00 noon at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home, 577 St. Annes Road. Reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Very sorry to learn so late of Percy's passing. I would have loved to come celebrate him at Meadowood! I enjoyed my visits very much with Percy & Evelyn at Meadowood and will fondly remember Percy's laugh and always greeting Evelyn every time at Morning Song with some sweet hand holding! I will miss him. Kim (Comforts of Home Care) - Posted by: Kim Griffin (Friend ) on: Oct 28, 2014
