ELSIE TIMCHISHEN 1919 - 2013 On Friday, July 11, 2014 at the age of 94 Elsie passed away peacefully at the Arborg Personal Care Home. Predeceased by her husband John, parents Karl and Lena Weik, sisters Margaret and Kay and brother Charlie. Elsie is survived by her children Harold (Nettie), Don (Diane), Shirley (Henry), Ted (Kathy), brother Willie and sister Lee as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many of John's siblings who were very close to her heart. John and Elsie farmed together for decades, starting in Homer then later moving to Bjarmi. Elsie took great pride in her family, creating a home that her grandchildren spent many hours at. Always the ultimate cook and hostess, Elsie's door was always open for friends and family, but her favourite guests were her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Funeral services will be held at Ardal Geysir Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place prior to the funeral. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of the Arborg Personal Care Home for their wonderful care and compassion they showed Grandma for the past 10 years.
