DORIS GRIFFITH (LESKO-OLYNICK) November 15, 1921 - July 17, 2014 Doris Griffith passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Pinawa Hospital. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her children Bob (Joan), Emily (Keith), Carol, and stepson Gary Griffith (Allison). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Lori, Lana, Michael, Todd, Sherry and Douglas, her nine great-grandchildren, and her one remaining sister Nellie Okrainec. Doris was predeceased by her parents, and brothers and sisters John, Ann, Kay, Mike, Pete, Mary and Joyce. Mom was born and raised in Landerville where she met and married John Lesko. Later they moved to Lac du Bonnet and raised their family. She loved gardening, especially the flowers, fishing, biking, walking and travelling were also favourites. She moved to Pinawa later in life and worked for the Local Government District of Alexander. When she retired she moved back to Lac du Bonnet. In keeping with Doris' wishes, no formal funeral service will be held and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 7-414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1P2. Mom, rest in peace. All the pain and suffering are gone.
