EVELYN FENNING Peacefully, and surrounded by her loving family, Evelyn Fenning, aged 86 years of Moosehorn, MB, passed away on July 21, 2014 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB. She is survived by her husband of 65 years David; daughter Jennifer and her children Kim (Theo) and Morley (Crystal); daughter Heather (Ron) and their daughter Hilary; son Bradley (Kim) and their children Shannon (Craig) and Lisa (Darryn); great-grandchildren Larissa (Jacob), Nathon and Braylon. She is also survived by her two sisters Helen Meisner and Margaret Semler along with many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her son Blair, her parents, her eight siblings and son-in-law Manny. Evelyn was born on June 5, 1928 in the RM of Grahamdale and lived in the area all of her life. She met and married David on October 7, 1949. Over the years, they enjoyed camping and a lot of fishing. Evelyn had a very good hand at filleting the fish. Once their family expanded with grandchildren, they loved to spend time with their family at the cottage every weekend. Family was the most important aspect of her life and that circle of this very special family was all that she felt she ever needed. She was very excited anticipating the arrival of her newest great-grandchild who is expected to join the family in October. Evelyn will be deeply missed and will be in our hearts forever. Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital who were so wonderful to Evelyn and our family. Thank you also to Pastor Bill and John, Karen and staff of Arnason Funeral Home. A viewing will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014 in the Moosehorn Peace Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Service will conclude at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Morley Truba, Theo Tyson, Doug Kiesman, Craig Kosolowski, Darryn Boyko and Ron Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lakeshore General Hospital Guild, Palliative Care Unit, c/o Julie Bergner, PO Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
