I apologize for taking so long in writing this, I was in dealing with my own family death and did not know about Donna. We met in Grade 9 attended Silver Heights Collegiate till we graduated from there. We lived down the back lane and everyday Donna would wait for me so we could walk to school. We graduated together, I stood up for her wedding and she for mine all those years ago. We last spoke in late April early May when she told me she was sick and she was to see the Doctor in a few weeks to see how thing were going. That was the last time we talked ......I will miss that. Our friendship was the kind that we did not have to talk every day or week but when we did it was always as if we had talked every day. Stephanie I remember when I first met you ....so tiny and your Mom was just beaming as she always did when she would talk about you to me....You were her baby girl......Barry you were Donna's everything. She loved you with all her being........I am so sad that in a month and a bit we will have missed her for 1 year. Dear, dear Friend.....I Love You with All My Heart and Always Will. LOVE to Barry, Stephanie, Carol and Danny and all family members. Until we meet again....Candy. - Posted by: Candice Holmes (Mayo) (Best Friend) on: Jun 07, 2015

I met Donna in February 1983 when we met at Regina General Hospital while we gave birth. I delivered Todd Feb 8, and Donna delivered Stefanie Feb 9. We continued getting together for play-dates with the kids before Donna, Barry & Stefanie moved back to Winnipeg. We stayed in touch particularly at Christmas time, which this year I heard the very sad news of her passing. Donna was a truly sweet & wonderful person - my heartfelt sympathies to Barry, Stefanie & family. - Posted by: Janice Triffon (Iverson) (Long Distance Friend) on: Dec 20, 2014

I worked side by side with Donna for a number of years at the City of Winnipeg. I got to know her quite well. She was always friendly and helpful to me. She adored her daughter Stefanie and her husband Barry. I miss seeing her around and chatting. It's hard to believe she's gone. My deepest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Ginger Blakey (co-worker) on: Sep 18, 2014

Although I didn't know Donna that well she taught me so much in a short time. I will never be the same after spending time with Donna and her family in her last days . Her strength and courage has blessed me as a human being. Thank you Donna - Posted by: Tracy Buck (sister in law) on: Jul 29, 2014

I worked with Donna at Mercury Marine many years ago - she was shy and quiet but over the years became very friendly; she didn't have a daughter yet; but was married to Barry whom she adored. I am sorry she passed too soon. - Posted by: chris bartlett (co-worker) on: Jul 29, 2014
