ROBERTA PERRON After enjoying a life fully lived, Mom passed away, peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2014. She was a devoted wife to Leo for 67 years, who predeceased her on October 28, 2010, and a loving and supportive mother to Barbara (Doug Kozan), Wayne and Gary (Lois). Her enthusiasm and joy was shared with her grandchildren: Marcus (Cassie), Todd (Heather), Justin, Jamie, Jennifer, Regan, Jacquelyn, Shawna, Michelle, Brett and Brad. She also enjoyed the company of her great-grandchildren: Lucy, Cooper, Connor, and Tess. Mom was born and raised in Biggar, SK, moving to Winnipeg where she met her husband while nursing at the St. Boniface Hospital. Their young family spent 21 years growing up in Yorkton, SK, where Mom participated in sports and involved herself in many community activities. She traveled the world with Dad and spent many winters in Maui, Hawaii. Upon moving back to Winnipeg, Mom continued to participate in sport activities. In the summer months, her time was spent in her home gardens and then with her family, at the cottage at Lake of the Woods. During the last few years of her life, she was able to remain in her home, under the devoted care of her personal caregivers: Mary Tess, Maria and Rose. Mom's legacy of love, compassion, and understanding will continue to influence her family and friends, forever. A memorial service will be held in Calgary, at a later date.
