Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTAN WOODWARD After a long battle with cancer and with his family at his side Stanley Bailey Woodward a caring husband, great father, brother, uncle and friend passed away to be with his Lord on July 27, 2014 at 5:30 a.m. He was predeceased by his Mom, Kathleen Bailey Budd, his dad Charles Frank Woodward, his stepfather Chester Budd. He is survived by his wife Terrie, daughter Cher (Tod) Allen, sons Derek (Susan) Woodward, Devon Woodward, sister Joyce Schell, many nephews and nieces, and sisters and brothers-in-law and their families. At the age of 16, he joined the workforce as a warehouse clerk at General Stationery and Furniture, eventually became a partner of the company and manager of the furniture department. When the company was sold Stan decided to open his own agency as a manufacturer's agent. He was very well accepted in the business community and always willing to accommodate his clients' needs. He maintains the client's needs always come first. Stan, Woody to most of you, was born on December 1, 1942. Stan always loved life in his own special way. He had a weird sense of humor that made you wonder if he was being sarcastic, serious or just joking. Just when you thought you figured it out you see this crazy gleam in his eyes and you realized he got you with one of his crazy jokes. He loves sports especially golf and curling. He was a member of the Fort Rouge Curling Club until such time that problems with his hip became the deciding factor for giving up the sport and became a spectator. Stan loves golf and was a member at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Cancer Care Manitoba for the exceptional care they have provided Stan over the years. A special thank you to Dr. Harvey Quon, Dr. Piotr Czaykowski, Dr. Anne Katz, and Gail Nickel for the excellent care and treatment during his whole journey with Cancer. Also a special thanks to all the staff at RR6 for the care they provided Stan during the last few weeks of his life. A time of viewing and celebration of Stan's life, will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Eastview Community Church. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with internment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Donations in Stan's memory may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba Prostate Cancer Clinic. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

I'm so sorry for your loss, from the little I knew of Stan he was a kind hearted man. I became in contact with in unusual circumstances, he not only accepted things he kept in touch regardless of outcome. I wish that outcome had been different. I knew something was wrong when I stopped hearing from him and although was kind of expecting this news its still come as a shock. RIP Stan, thanks for being in my life for that short time. - Posted by: Lalita-Debby Balaban (friend) on: Jul 30, 2015

Terri and Family Karen and I convey our deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. Stan was an extremely kind and generous individual and many have been blessed by his kindness. Stan was an individual who genuinely cared about you. I visited him at the Rehab and his first question to me was "how was I doing" and he was the one I was there to visit and praying for. Karen and I appreciated the "gleam in his eye" and that warm smile and the warm hug you received. I have been a business client of Woody's for many years and his service and follow-up was impeccable, options to consider and naturally ensured that the costs were the best possible. Stan thank-you for always being open and expressing your concerns and doubts about certain things. You are missed and genuinely loved. - Posted by: Robin and Karen Gilmour (Friend and Business Associate) on: Jul 31, 2014

Stan (Woody) and I worked together for over 20 years and became close friends. He was liked by everyone he came in contact with not just because of his great sense of humour, but more importantly, he was a very kind, caring person. I will miss you my friend.
