Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTOKIYE TAMEMOTO (BETTY YAMADA) January 14, 1921 - June 23, 2014 Betty passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 finding a path of peace and final rest during her sleep. She leaves a legacy of memories for her daughter Karen Yamada and grandchildren Bryn and Burke Wiebe. She is survived by her sister, Isabelle Hirota and was predeceased by her husband, Fume and son-in-law Randy Wiebe. Betty was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother and sole partner and bookkeeper for her husband's custom homebuilding business. Betty aspired to perfection, handcrafting beautifully knitted sweaters, socks and mittens and intricately crocheted tablecloths. She enjoyed curling at the Pembina, golf at Charleswood and facilitating summers at the cottage at Big Whiteshell Lake and snowbird retirement at the house in Mission, Texas. Betty was born in Steveston, BC and was relocated to Manitoba during the war, where she met and married Fume in 1950. Betty will be remembered for her style and outspoken charm and will continue to inspire us to reach beyond the stars.
