MARGARET E. SMITH (nee GRAMME) Peacefully, on Monday, July 28, 2014, Margaret passed away at the Pembina Place Personal Care Home at the age of 99 years. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Lillian Hall, nephew Bill and her niece Joanne as well as several cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ida and her brother William. Margaret was born and raised in Portage la Prairie where she attended Victoria Elementary and Portage Collegiate and was confirmed in St. Mary's Anglican Church. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1932 and was employed by Federated Insurance for 30 years. Margaret was a Life Member of the Women's Institute and served in various offices. She also had been secretary at St. John the Baptiste Auxiliary of St. Paul's, Fort Garry. A special thank you to all the care givers at Pembina Place for their care and compassion. In respecting Margaret's wishes, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
