FREDERICK HERBERT SAUNDERS Frederick Herbert Saunders was born May 20, 1931 in Winnipeg, MB and raised in Eriksdale, MB. Peacefully at half past midnight on Saturday, August 2, 2014 Dad passed at his residence, Fred Douglas Lodge. Dad is remembered by wife Myrtle of Winnipeg; son Howard (Sue) of Saskatoon; daughters Sylvia and Linda of Winnipeg; son Carl (Pepi) of Winnipeg; son Herb of Winnipeg; son Don (Heather) of Winnipeg; grandchildren Nicole, David (Keeley), Stefanie, Chiyenne, Jordan, Cyle, and Cody. Great-grandchild Jakob; brothers; John, Keith (Dorothy), Bill (Alice), Tom (Margret); sister Hazel; sister-in-law Shirley; many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his mother Marie, his father George; sister Marie (Lawrence); brothers, Leonard (Mary) and Wallace, Jim (Lil) and Bob; aunts, uncles; nieces and nephews. Many thanks go to the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Ward at the Seven Oaks Hospital, also to the staff and care providers of the Fred Douglas Lodge for making his last days with us as comfortable as possible. There will be a private family service to be held at a later date. Arrangements made by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
