Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • We met Bob at our local Timmies, and he immediately took a shining to our then 1 year old daughter. He would always make a point of coming over to our table to chat with us. Our daughter would always walk into Timmies and yell out "Hi Bob". Everybody would get a chuckle. He would give her different trinkets from poppies to necklaces, and explain the meaning of some of them. Often, on the way there Our daughter would say, "I hope Bob is there", and he would be, with that same friendly smile. Our now 7 year is sitting here watching me write this with tears in her eyes. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends. Bob, You have touched our hearts, and will be dearly missed. R.I.P. Michelle, Merlin, and Kenzie-aka HI BOB! - Posted by: Merlin, Michelle, Kenzie (Coffee friends) on: Aug 22, 2014

  • Uncle Bob was a wonderful man and he will be missed. Our prayers go out to Tannis and David and your family. His long friendship meant the world to my Mom Irene. He is home with Auntie Jean. All our love and prayers. Susan, Rob, Shelby and Jared James - Posted by: Susan Hodge James (Niece) on: Aug 16, 2014

  • Bob looked after the tool crib in CE, his friendly manner in dealing with everybody made the tool crib a meeting place. He and Jean were regulars at the Headingley United Church Dinner Theatre, we would meet at the church at 6am on the day the tickets went on sale. - Posted by: Mel Marsh (Worked with Bob at 17 Wing CE) on: Aug 16, 2014

  • Our hearts feel your pain at the loss of your Dad/Grandfather. He was so loved and admired by your family. Adam and Indogo were just talking about his wonderful stories and how he had such a busy and social life. We really hope the family finds comfort in the memories and that you can feel the love and support of others around you. Take one day at a time. Thinking of you. - Posted by: Wendy and Joe Krupnik (Inlaws to Indogo) on: Aug 13, 2014

  • My heart aches for all of you as I reflect on all the plans we made that won't come to fruition now. Uncle Bob meant the world to me and I will miss him so much. But I know that there is a Timmy's somewhere in creation where he is sitting at a table telling stories and making someone feel good about themselves. - Posted by: Beryl Nesbit (Niece) on: Aug 13, 2014

  • So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Our family's sympathies go out to all the Nisbet family. Bob was always such a happy, vibrant guy. Him and my father-in-law Clarence Mathews were good buddies and neighbors. They spent a lot of time drinking a cup or two of coffee every day at their favorite Tim Hortons locale with their group of friends. I'm sure they're together up there planning on what to build together next. We sure got a kick out of listening to all the stories they told and all the arguments they had when they were working on our house years ago. I got them some tshirts made up reading "Two Grumpy Old Guys Renovations"on them. They both had a good laugh at that. Rest in peace Bob. - Posted by: Kim Mathews (Friend) on: Aug 13, 2014
