LENA PILON (nee GOSHULAK, ROSHKO) Peacefully on August 11, 2014 Lena Pilon passed away at East Gate Lodge with family by her side. Mom was born June 12, 1919, to Dymtro and Julie Goshulak of Green Oak. She is survived by daughters Anne and Ray Struss, Eleanor and Steve Nazarewich, and Christine Roshko; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandson. She also leaves to mourn her brother Alex Goshulak, sisters Eva Opyc and Kay and Alex Harasymchuk, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by son Michael Roshko, daughter Marge Nazarewich, grandson Trevor, her husbands Egnot Roshko and Jerry Pilon, six brothers and four sisters. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, and the Ukrainian Catholic Womens' League for 25 years. The family would like to thank the special angels of East Gate Lodge for their care and compassion shown to our mother. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18 at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Nazarewich, Marcel Lemire, Perry Nazarewich, Andre Dubois, Sieg Penner, and Greg Opyc. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and godson Ronald Opyc. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research Canada; Autism Society of Manitoba; or East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home, Beausejour.
