Mary & Earnest were my mother's neighbours on Elm Park Road. They were both very kind and gentle people. Mary was always interested in what my mother was doing and kept an eye on her as she lived alone. Farewell Mary Dave Johnson - Posted by: Dave Johnson (Neighbour) on: Aug 27, 2014

Mrs Whitehorn was one of my most memorable patients. I really enjoyed our conversations. I would phone her every couple of weeks to see how she was getting on. She always had so many nice things to say about everyone in the pharmacy. We were all impressed how well she looked after her husband when he was ill. We would always deliver her medication. She always liked to add Lay's plain chips to her order. She even thought of us at the pharmacy by telling us to go pick out chocolates for us at Christmas and put it on her bill. She was one of the best and I will miss our conversations. I truly loved how she could make every word sound so uplifting with her accent. She has definitely left a mark on my life and I am grateful to have known her. - Posted by: Donald Vermette (Mary's pharmacist) on: Aug 21, 2014

I had the pleasure of getting to know Kathleen when she shared a hospital room with my mother. We spent many hours visiting and I'll always appreciate that she looked out for my mom. We had numerous cups of tea, often bringing her McDonalds bacon cheeseburgers and fries, how she enjoyed them! Over the past couple of years we've talked many times on the phone and visited either while she was in the hospital or later in Beaconhill Lodge. I am so thankful that she was happy the last few months to be living in Beaconhill lodge and that her final weeks were spent visiting with her friend that was over from England. Kathleen was a treasure - just a real sweet lady and I will miss her very much. She's with her beloved Ernest now - she missed him so much. - Posted by: Debbie Guillas (friend) on: Aug 19, 2014
